Welcome Home?

![]() A New Challenger Approaches! Tirumari uses Flame Wheel! It was not very effective…this is because the new guy is a Rock type… I’m not really sure if I’m Fire type; mainly because I’d like to think of myself as a Water type. Charles is the one who’s had this argument with me the most… and we had the same argument when talking about Avatar (I’m supposedly more of a Fire-bender than a Water-bender, even though water-benders can heal people too!) and we had a similar argument when we were talking about Katekyo Hitman Reborn (I’m supposedly a Sun attribute instead of a Rain attribute) In Charles’ case, he is (in my opinion) a Ground type, an Earth-bender, and the Storm attribute, respectively. Charles and I have interesting conversations. Maybe because we share the same interests as 13-year-old boys from Japan. But hey!! New character!!! Oh man, oh man… So Darren’s keeping me in the dark about the future directions and upcoming characters, and honestly, I definitely prefer it that way. It allows me to look at Thoughtpennies as a reader, and I’m kind of excited for what’s happening! I can’t wait for the next strip every week, and I enjoy being an audience, as opposed to the storyteller. After all, storytelling is Darren’s job! :) ~Tirumari |
![]() The Matt. So, you see that guy in the last panel? Yeah, that’s the guy I’m rooming with next year in real life. Now I know what you’re thinking: “This is a bad idea Darren, he loves sports, went to a jock school, drinks, loves to fuck with people’s heads…not really a good combination with your typical asian geek albeit without the same penchant for math and science that others seem to be mysterious gifted with. I mean, even our people have a history of not getting along for crying out loud! But, in spite of that, he’s probably one of the best people you’ll ever meet. Unfortunately for you all, he doesn’t like strangers much, but if you get to know him, it’s well worth it because…well, he’s a character. Hence why I put him in this webcomic. :p How could I not? That being said, I’d like to take this opportunity to make absolutely clear: although the characters are loosely based on real people and bear a striking resemblance in appearance and name, the people portrayed in this webcomic are nothing like that in real life. Sure, they may have their moments, but they are very sane and normal people…for the most part. Also, I’m glad to see some people we (or at least I) don’t know are commenting on this webcomic. Makes me feel slightly less inferior to everyone else. But I don’t blame you, I blame my asianness for that. Happy end (possibly ending) of finals everyone! ~Darren |

Yay! Ending of finals!
And why does Tirumari look like one of those burglars that you usually see in anime? All he needs is one of those bandanas around his face.
I think that this comic was a bit too small. The lines look crunched together and it’s hard to see the art. ):
And… awman… I think I killed one of you two in the dunking into the water… whoops…

yeeah… when I was working on the strip, photoshop informed me that even though the strip was the required 750 pixels wide, it was also 2 inches tall. My sketches in r.l. are at least three times that size. So for this one, every time I used 4-pt font, the words would dwarf me, and I believe that what you’re reading is 1.5… I guess I’ll just remake it after my finals.
But hey, thanks for noticing the anime reference!

Tirumari… after reading that, I can’t help myself. In memory of Piccolo from the DBZ Abridged series: “NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERD.”
*plays an AEthersnipe for its Evoke cost; Cloudstone Curio triggers; returns himself and Tirumari to their owners’ hands*
