Adventure!!
…
![]() We Take Things Seriously Especially when it’s something like an apartment search. Drama! Intrigue! Deception! Apartments! A tale that will chill you to the bone; don’t miss it for the world! ! Also, I’m kind of a fan of the steampunk genre which in turn requires me to be familiar with the style of clothing worn by the people of the late 19th and early 20th century. We’re obviously not quite dressed like them; I took some artistic leeway here. 40’s retro is also super cool. To get an idea of the(se) genre(s), watch Steamboy or play Bioshock. But man, a storyline?! Yes, a storyline. We did promise that Thursdays would be for plot-driven comics while Tuesdays were like the commercial breaks. And before I forget, we actually have a facebook group; you should totally join it if you have an account. It’s what all the cool kids are doing. ~Tirumari |
![]() God I miss the good old days. Nostalgia. We’ve all experienced it for one thing or another, but does anyone else find it strange how we sometimes pine for a past we don’t even know? Take this cover sheet for example. I love the 1930s, especially when it comes to the whole fedora and trenchcoat gumshoe deal, but I never lived through the prohobition or seen Al Capone’s mug shot in the papers. And yet, I always look it, in some ways, as a better time with far more style than what’s trendy today. I guess, for better or for worse, that’s why the retro genre exists because, for whatever reason, we like to have our own take on the past, in spite of the fact that we don’t really know what it was like at all, which is kinda foolish when you think about it. However, it is comforting at the same time to think that in some form, some positive aspects of the past will always survive without the negative associations of the era, giving it a redemption of sorts. But enough of this intellectual talk! Yes, as T.J. has already stated, we do have our first storyline coming up, where our hapless heroes attempt to avoid becoming homeless before the beginning of the school year and find the “perfect” place to live. Along the way, expect to experience adventure, timeless romance, and, most of all, laughs, all at our expense! Feel free to thank us at any time. *puts a chocolate cigar in his mouth* Until then, here’s lookin at you kid. ;) ~Darren |
